Who wanted a memoriable celebration for the 50th Anniversary. So they invited all their family and in-laws to help them mark this occasion in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico.
There were 37 of us including babies. It was a wonderfully diverse group of every age and stage. We all stayed an all-inclusive resort and it couldn't have been more perfect.
The sun was hot, the ocean was beautiful, the sky was cloudless, the waves were boogie-boarded, the pool was cannon-balled, the sand was sand-castled, the food was ate & ate & ate, the pina-colada's were bottomless, the fellowship was special and the memories are precious.
The Blue Shirts: Dorothy got every single one of us a blue shirt with "50" on the front and "Mexico" on the back. They were so handy in a crowd as you could spot someone from your group from a long ways away. And as a bonus many people stopped us and asked us what our group was all about.
Travelling and Arriving:
A few resorts down the beach from where we stayed there was a turtle sanctuary. Every evening the tourists can go down and release the newly hatched baby turtles into the ocean. They follow the setting sun into the water. It was very cool!
Ok, this will have to do for now. Part Two coming.....
