For the past 6-8 months or so we have listened to our daughter talk to us in a strange, but adorable language. She acted like we totally understood what she was saying, but sadly it was foreign to us. I secretly was a little worried. Most children her age were talking in sentences. I expressed my concerned to the public health nurse, and was given advice and phone numbers to call.
But once again "the village" (aka: the other wise mothers in my life) told me to fret not, children are all very different and that one day her language will explode & we will be able to understand! Boy oh boy did it ever!
Here is a small portion of her rapidly growing vocabulary:
peas : please
yeth pea: yes please
how: help
bee : blankie
ma: milk
joosh: juice
treatzz: treats
buu: bug
baby
owwie
seepin: sleeping
dee: Glee (yes, we listen to alot of Glee music around here. yes, our daughter loves it!)
mo: more
side: outside
shooz: shoes
nummy: any type of food
papa: grandpa
pawee: potty
She also knows ABC & 123.
And the most adorable of all....
CeeCee: Lucy
